Baptism

We are so excited that you are interested in getting baptize here at Christ Tabernacle.

What you need to do:

Plan to arrive at the church at least ½ hour before the service. Stop by our Baptismal Tent right in front of the church to check-in. We will have special seating for water baptism candidates.
Please bring a change of clothes and a towel. Try clothing that will not hold much water and that will not be transparent, dark colors if possible.

Baptism: Jesus commanded this beautiful act for all in his family. He told us to”go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” Mathew 28:19

Water baptism provides a wonderful opportunity to testify about God’s marvelous work in our lives. A decision to follow Christ as personal Lord and Savior is the most important decision we will ever make. This commitment leads to a changed life now and the promise of eternal life. After we make our commitment, Christ instructed us to follow His example by entering the waters of baptism. In so doing we publicly declare our allegiance to His Lordship.

“Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” Acts 2:38

Baptism is not an optional ritual, to be delayed or postponed. It signifies your inclusion in God’s family. It publicly announces to the world, “I am not ashamed to be a part of God’s Family.” Your baptism declares your faith, shares Christ’s burial and resurrection, symbolizes your death to your old life, and announces your new life in Christ. It is a celebration of your inclusion in God’s family.

Being included in God’s Family is the highest honor and the greatest privilege your will ever receive.

We just want to thank the Lord for your step of faith in coming to Him to be baptized, and to go forth in His Grace. We pray God's hand will guide you throughout your future years and keep you faithful in His ways and in His word and prayer!!
