For many young people in NYC, Friday nights have always been characterized by drugs, alcohol, sex and the like. About thirteen years ago, Adam Durso and a small team of leaders at Christ Tabernacle decided enough was enough; it was time to be those that "turn their world upside down". And so was born Youth Explosion Ministries; a church were young people from all walks of life would line up around the block to get in. Presenting the Gospel through avenues such as Hip Hop and the Arts led to an overwhelming harvest of souls. After all these years the mission has remained the same but the method continues to evolve with the times. Now under the leadership of Christopher Durso, Youth Explosion Ministries exists to engage the culture by making the Truth of Jesus Christ famous, relevant and attractive. Not only do hundreds of youth still line up around the block to get into their weekly "Aftershock" but truly the eyes of the World are watching as Youth Explosion has been positioned as a model for Youth Ministry all across the land.
